Yesterday, I had the privilege of volunteering at a @KitAid kit sorting event, and what an incredible experience it was.
Seeing thousands of items of sports clothing and equipment being carefully sorted, packed, and prepared for communities around the world was both inspiring and humbling. Every jersey, pair of shorts, football boot, basketball vest, and piece of equipment represents an opportunity for a young person somewhere to participate, belong, and dream.
At Beyond Basketball, we are incredibly grateful for the continued support of KitAid. Their work goes far beyond simply redistributing sports kit. They are helping young people access sport regardless of their circumstances while also making a huge contribution to protecting our environment.Instead of perfectly usable sportswear ending up in landfills or being destroyed, it is given a second life where it can make a real difference. That's thousands of items kept out of waste streams and placed into the hands of young people who genuinely need them.
The impact is global. The difference is local. The opportunities created are life-changing.
Thank you, KitAid, for all that you do and for allowing us to play a small part in such an important mission.
Together, we're proving that sport can change lives both on and off the court.
